Q: HOW DOES THIS WORK?
A: We send you the Engine and or Touchscreen device(s). You install the software on your Windows Based PC (required).
Touchscreen device(s): Open SFT Tuner software > download file, email to us. Once we send the file(s) back > upload to touchscreen then connect to vehicle for flashing. Windows PC is used initially to download/upload files to/from touchscreen. Then you only use the touchscreen Internet based ECU device ONLY: While connected to the internet, you'll download and send us the ECU file/request. You MUST be connected to Windows PC and internet EACH TIME you read/write ECU Q: I JUST RECEIVED MY TOUCHSCREEN TUNER AND I'M STOCK OR ALREADY HAVE SFT TUNING, WHAT'S NEXT?
WHY: The Touchscreen's ECU "Read" is a "Virtual Read". Meaning the device sees your engine software version "1234" then it's makes a record of this internally. When you send us your 19 kb file size engine .USR file, the program will provide us with the 4 mb actual stock software file to be used with the device for tuning *OR* we can use another stock file (same software version).
Existing SFT ECU Tuned Customers: We've already stored your stock software from previous tuning(stock/ST1/ST2) we simply import this into the software, compile a NEW . USR file and send it back to you. This is why you can be STOCK or SFT ECU tuned at the time you connect the Touchscreen to your vehicle for the initial read. This ALSO explains why other companies aren't compatible. They don't use factory software, instead they use their own proprietary files that need to be cloned directly to the ECU on a bench. They simply change the software version so it appears* to be the factory software, but it's not. Q: ARE THE SFT ENGINE TUNES WITHIN SAFE EGT LIMITS?

SFT Oil Plate Adapter
Only a few left!
A major problem with the FCA's 2nd Gen 3.0L EcoDiesel engine is cooling. The main reason is there's no oil cooler, only a heat exchanger (using engine coolant to cool the engine's Oil).
SFT has the solution! An oil plate adapter! This is a bolt on adapter plate that allows you to install an aftermarket oil cooler (of your choice and not sold by SFT).
This is a CNC machined from MIC 6 Ground aluminum plate, ready to use oil cooler adapter plate for the ECO DIESEL RAM 1500. The 3 tapped holes are 1/2″-14 NPT thread milled. This kit includes the plate only. You will need to source 6 M8x1.25 bolts 25-30mm long for installation as well as any fittings or hoses and an aftermarket cooler.
**Sofa King Tuned LLC is not responsible for any damages that may occur from the install/cannot recommend an oil cooler/provide instructions. We HIGHLY recommend you have the Oil Plate adapter/cooler setup installed by a certified Diesel Performance Mechanic.**

After Purchase:
1. Customer needs to coordinate a time to work 1 on 1 with a technician to write ECU/TCM file back to STOCK on BOTH devices.
2. Erase BOTH Devices. And send screenshot of "device info" page in SFT Tuner software for Touchscreen being sent back.
3. You will then receive a NEW template for Touchscreen to be used for both ECU and TCM.
4. Plug that newly updated Touchscreen into vehicle, read stock ECU/TCM file.
5. Email that new USR file to tunes@sofakingtuned.com
6. We at SFT will send you back the new modified ECU/TCM usr file for the updated all-in-one Touchscreen.
